Should I Save My Marriage? - I Am So Unhappy
Would you like an easy answer to the question "should I save my marriage" I thought you might? This is a question that has been asked by thousands of couples all around the world, but sadly there are no easy answers.
If you are continually asking "should I save my marriage," then you must be going through a lot of pain at the moment. Everybody knows that marriage is not meant to be a place where either party is unhappy. Marriage should be a place where each party is appreciated, loved and respected. If you are in a marriage where these essential elements are missing, then for your sake, something has to change.
Taking all of the emotion out of the situation, anyone asking "should I save my marriage," has two options. The first is to take the path that many others have taken before you and that is to head to the divorce courts. Be warned however, that the effects of a divorce are enormous both physically and emotionally and interestingly, a recent study at the Chicago University proved that divorced people have 20% more health issues than married couples.
Let's face it; some couples should never marry as they are not compatible. These marriages are doomed from the start and divorce is probably the best option. There are some marriages; however, that end in divorce that should not have if only the couples knew how to overcome their difficulties. This is where the second option comes into play - save your marriage. If there is still a flicker of love between the two of you, but you have lots of problems that you can't seem to overcome, there is only one option to entertain here - do what you can to save your marriage.
The absolute best way to tackle your issues is to bring them out into the open. They need to be addressed not swept under the carpet. If you are not confident enough to do this on your own, you need to look to get some immediate help, either through some self help books or by visiting a counsellor. There are many marriages alive and well today that would have ended in tears had the parties not introduced ways to get their marriage back on track.
Look, you probably know already that being happy in your marriage is one of life's great blessings. If you have hit a bit of a hurdle and are not happy, do yourself a favour and undertake some form of assistance. Having been happily married for over 30 years, I can tell you that if you can work through this difficult time, you can enjoy your marriage again and you will never have thoughts like "should I save my marriage" ever again.
Having a happy marriage is a great gift, yet some marriages end because couples make silly mistakes in trying to make their marriage work.
