As we go along, you'll find out what to do instead. Ready? Here we go. 1. Obsess about getting the details right. It goes like this: "I had the most exciting rafting trip ever. It was last August. No, it was July. No, it was June, the month after the basement flooded. No, it was the year before that... ." Unless you're testifying in court, don't quibble about details. Quibbling messes up your story's flow, and it puts your listeners to ZZ-zzz-zzz-sleep.

Communication - One Key to Successful Relationships 2 of 4
In part 1 of this series, I talked about setting the stage for successful communication and described the first step you must take. Now, I am going to share the next necessary step of successful communication. The next thing you need to know is-no matter what they say, you will hold their confidence. And you will continue to love them because your love does not depend on conditions or behaviors.If they go on to tell you they did something that you don't approve of, you will continue to love them and you will continue to listen. And if you have a problem with that, do not listen to them at all.

Beware of Intellectual Debates Where the Other Party Tries to Play the Emotional IQ Card
Often in intellectual debates, as one party shows emotion the other party will use psychological emotional control scenarios to gain the upper hand. If someone tries this on you, call their bluff. Not long ago someone tried this with me, after I stated in a brief emotional outburst that his debate points were nothing more than chicken crap. Then he tried to make me feel bad for my comments, which were perfectly warranted. They actually teach this debate tactic in highschool now, due to the political correctness card that is so easily played. In any case the other party stated that they were just a poor researcher, and were merely an observer, thus, not up to my stature in knowledge in an attempt for me to further engage in their nonsense.
